Crochet Masterclass – Cosy Cottage Christmas Stockings
The Peanut & Plum Masterclass & Heirloom Collection
Timeless Skills. Heirloom Tools. Beautiful Projects.
Create two beautiful handmade Christmas stockings designed to become part of your family’s Christmas for years to come.
October’s Masterclass & Heirloom Collection combines gorgeous traditional colour, rich crochet texture and beautiful finishing details as we make two full-size Cosy Cottage Christmas Stockings — one in Fern and one in Bracken, with wonderfully soft Cloud White details.
At the heart of this month’s Masterclass is our Houndstooth-inspired Crunch Stitch texture. You’ll discover how simple crochet stitches and clever colour changes work together to create a beautifully detailed, almost woven-looking fabric.
Then I’ll guide you through every stage of turning that fabric into a proper Christmas stocking — from the toe and foot to heel shaping, leg, deep ribbed cuff and those all-important finishing touches.
Simply open your collection, scan your QR code and crochet along with me.

What You’ll Learn
October’s complete step-by-step Masterclass guides you through both the stitch pattern and stocking construction from beginning to end.
- How to create the Crunch Stitch texture
- Creating the Houndstooth-inspired effect through stitch placement and colour
- How to alternate colours neatly throughout the pattern
- Reading and maintaining the textured stitch repeat
- Working and shaping the stocking toe and foot
- Creating and positioning the heel
- Building the stocking leg
- Creating a deep ribbed crochet cuff
- Neat joining, seaming and colour changes
- Professional finishing
- Adding your wooden personalisation and leather hanging tags
The finished stitch pattern may look intricate, but the magic comes from the way simple stitches are alternated and repeated.
By the end of your Masterclass, you won’t just have two beautiful Christmas stockings — you’ll have learned texture, colourwork, shaping, ribbing and finishing techniques you can use again in future crochet projects.

🎄 INTRODUCING THE OCTOBER BOX 🎄
The Cosy Cottage Christmas Stockings
October is all about traditional Christmas colours, gorgeous texture and creating something your family can bring out year after year.
This month we’ll be making two beautiful full-size Christmas stockings — one in rich Fern and one in warm Bracken, paired with Cloud White for the contrasting toe, heel and details.
The textured stitches give them that wonderfully traditional handmade look, while the finishing touches make each stocking feel completely personal.
And, as always, your box contains everything you need to create them.
Inside Your October Box:
Sirdar Loveful Recycled Tweed DK – Fern & Bracken
Two gorgeous heritage-inspired shades chosen especially for this project.
Fern brings a rich mossy green, while Bracken gives us a warm, earthy brown. The subtle tweed neps running through the yarn add beautiful definition to the textured crochet stitches and give the finished stockings that rustic, traditional feel.
Sirdar Soft Down – Cloud White
And then there’s the Cloud White.
This beautifully soft brushed yarn adds a completely different texture alongside the tweed. Its delicate halo softens the white sections of the stockings and gives them that almost snowy, slightly fluffy finish that looks gorgeous against Fern and Bracken.
The combination of rustic tweed and soft Cloud White is what really brings the Cosy Cottage look together.

5mm Lantern Moon Ebony Crochet Hook
This month’s addition to your growing Heirloom Collection is a beautiful 5mm Lantern Moon crochet hook.
Handcrafted from smooth ebony wood, it feels wonderfully warm and comfortable in the hand and is designed to be a crochet hook you’ll reach for again and again — long after your Christmas stockings are finished.
2 × Large Wooden Personalisation Tags
One for each stocking.
These large wooden tags are ready for you to personalise with a name, turning each finished stocking into something completely individual — whether you’re making them for your own family or giving them as gifts.
2 × Handmade Leather Hanging Tags
Each stocking is finished with its own leather hanging tag, giving you a strong, beautiful way to hang your completed stocking while adding that signature Peanut & Plum finishing detail.
All the Little Essentials
You’ll also find the other little notions and essentials you need to complete both stockings tucked inside your box.
No hunting through your craft drawer halfway through the project — I’ve brought everything together so you can simply open your box and start making.
Exclusive Printed Photo Tutorial Booklet
Your beautifully designed Cosy Cottage Christmas Stockings booklet contains the complete crochet pattern together with clear photographs to guide you through the different stages of construction.
Keep it with your pattern collection and you can return to it whenever you’d like to make another stocking.
You’ll also find your QR code inside, taking you straight to the accompanying step-by-step video Masterclass.

You can pause, rewind and work at your own pace — exactly as if we were sitting down and making them together.
By the end, you won’t just have made two beautiful Christmas stockings. You’ll have practised texture, shaping, construction and finishing techniques that you can take into so many future crochet projects.
The October Cosy Cottage Christmas Stockings Box
Traditional. Textured. Made to become part of Christmas for years to come

Let’s open it together, shall we?
I spent so much time choosing every little detail because I wanted this collection to feel like opening a little present to yourself.
No searching for the right hook. No wondering what yarn to buy. No forgotten finishing touches. Everything is already waiting for you.
Sirdar Loveful Recycled Tweed DK – Fern & Bracken
I knew I wanted these stockings to have that slightly rustic, traditional Christmas look, and Loveful was perfect.
The gently nepped tweed gives the yarn so much character and makes the textured crochet stitches really stand out.
Fern gives us that gorgeous traditional green without being too bright, while Bracken is warm, natural and beautifully understated.
Together they create two stockings that coordinate without simply being identical.
Sirdar Soft Down – Cloud White
Cloud White changes the feel of the project completely.
Against the tweedy Loveful, its soft brushed halo gives the contrasting sections a lighter, fluffier texture — almost like a dusting of snow.
It’s one of those little yarn choices that makes such a difference to the finished project.
Exclusive Printed Pattern Booklet
Your beautifully designed Autumn Reversible Tunisian Crochet Scarf booklet includes clear, illustrated step-by-step instructions in both UK and US terms. Made to keep, so you can return to the pattern whenever you fancy making another.
Step-by-Step Tunisian Crochet Masterclass
We’ll make the stockings together from beginning to end.
I’ll show you where your stitches go, how the textured stitch pattern works, how we shape the different sections and how everything comes together at the end.
Pause when you need to. Rewind as many times as you like. Crochet at your own pace.
Every tool has a story
Just Look How Beautiful This Hook Is…
Every tool in these collections has a story, and I absolutely love that.
Lantern Moon hooks are handcrafted from beautiful ebony wood using traditional woodworking techniques passed down through generations.
Each one is shaped and polished by hand, creating that wonderfully smooth finish that lets the yarn glide as you crochet.
October adds the 5mm single-ended Lantern Moon ebony crochet hook to your growing Heirloom Collection — another size you’ll use for projects again and again.
A Beautiful Heirloom Addition This Month
Your 5mm Lantern Moon Ebony Crochet Hook
This isn’t a hook that’s included simply to complete one project.
It’s the next piece of your collection.
Month by month, different projects introduce new hooks, specialist tools and beautiful accessories, so instead of accumulating disposable kit supplies, you’re gradually building a crochet collection designed to last.

The Finishing Touches
Sometimes it’s the smallest details that make a handmade project feel the most special.
October’s box includes two large wooden personalisation tags so you can add a name to each stocking, plus two handmade leather hanging tags to finish them beautifully.
Whether your stockings are destined for your own fireplace or being made as Christmas gifts, these are the details that turn them into something personal.
Something made especially for someone.
Something to bring out again next Christmas — and the Christmas after that.
