Alpine crochet beanie pattern and tutorial
Azalea alpine beanie
Hey, crochet lovers! Thanks for checking out my Azalea alpine beanie crochet pattern and tutorial!
I’m back after a mini break for the holidays 🙂 I had a beautiful time with my babies and ate far too much chocolate!! It is always over too soon! I still feel the urge to put a Christmas movie on! I’m hoping I am not alone in this 🙂
I was checking out some winter accessories for this little trip, as you do – before you have even booked it (Eye roll) when I found some gorgeous pictures of the Alpines. It struck me that this was exactly what I needed to add to my next project and make our own accessories to hit the slopes in!
I love new stitches!!
The Alpine stitch is a lovely stitch that gives a beautifully defined finish to your projects.
Its appearance is reminiscent of a valley of Alpine trees and it adds a bouncy, knit like feel to your projects!
It’s a really simple to learn, It is a variation of the Dc double crochet and front post double crochet repeated over again.
Just to help you out I have made a little written tutorial for you here Alpine stitch – Crochet tutorial
If you would prefer to watch a quick video tutorial of the stitch then I have prepared one for you below 🙂
Now that you have learnt your new stitch. I’m sure you are itching to try it out.
I made the pattern with 2 designs. The blue beanie has a nice chunky ribbed brim while the yellow beanie has a more neat, knit-like appearance.
The pdf comes with photo stitch tutorials.
I am always here to help, if you have any questions please contact me here through my page 🙂

Happy crocheting!
I love this pattern, but when I first tried it I knew something was wrong. I went back and watched your video, and your instructions are missing the single crochet row between rows 9 and 10. Now that I have this figured out, I can’t wait to try it.
