I found my little skill pretty handy last week. We have had a SUPER cold snap here in the U.K. Called the " Beast from the East".

The weather literally came out of nowhere, after days of Spring sunshine and flowers blossoming we were hit with heavy snow and cold winds from Siberia!

My daughter is 18 months old and likes to chuck everything out of her pram when I am not looking, leaving me a basket with 3 odd mittens in.

I thought we wouldn't be needing another set for a while....WRONG!

I had to whip up a pair of mittens while she was sleeping, my car was snowed in and I knew full well we would be needing them in the morning.

So, mastering this skill even at a novice level is pretty handy and I did feel really chuffed with myself that I am able to do this 🙂
